Francesco DeMayo III, DMD, MPH

Dr. DeMayo was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Chicago, where he was also a member of the university’s football team. He then earned a Master of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, followed by his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While at Penn, he was inducted into the Matthew Cryer Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and served as an Associate Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics.

Dr. DeMayo went on to receive his specialty certificate in endodontics and a Master of Science from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. During his residency, he served as chief resident and was elected as a senator in the Graduate and Professional Student Government.

He is pursuing Board Certification and currently serves as a part-time adjunct faculty in the graduate endodontics department at UNC, as well as a clinical associate professor in the endodontics department at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Outside of the office, Dr. DeMayo enjoys college football and basketball, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and going to the movies and Broadway shows with his wife, Leana, and their daughter, Gabriella.
